Outlining my plans for WoW classic and the fall

Classic launch is approaching and it’s time to outline some of my plans! I bought WoW about halfway through classic and I am looking forward to dive into fresh servers and experiencing the “launch”-feeling yet again!

Content focus

Going we forward I will change the scheduled posts on the blog slightly. Right now I am doing a guide post on Thursdays, Goblin Mindset on Monday, and assorted stuff on Sunday’s. I will switch to a format where I post Classic guides on Monday’s, BfA guides on Thursdays and Goblin Mindset and various analysis and assorted posts on Sundays.

I want to support both games and I think this will be the best way to go about it.

Turning Goblin Mindset into a book

I have started writing a short e-book on goldmaking that will summarize my approach, how to find good markets and some other stuff. I aim for it to be universal for both games and I will be including plenty of examples, but it will not focus on teaching specific techniques and markets. Release date is still TBA, but hopefully I can get it done in September.

Goldmaking plans

For this fall I have two main goldmaking plans on the live game. I want to repeat the 30 day to a token challenge using gathering professions to speed it up. I want to try to find the most efficient manner of doing this to really help you guys out.

The other plan I have is of course to see how efficient I can make my multi realm BoE flipping empire. I will focus only on flipping on the BfA version of the game as I want to dedicate the majority of my “real game” gametime to playing classic so that I can get a good feel for how goldmaking in classic works and find some good strategies.

Plans for classic

In classic I will also focus on the economic part of the game. Here a lot of it will be much more tightly tied to actual game world activity though. I’m really looking forward to finding the best flipping markets and on getting the right recipes. I think professions will be very profitable. Hopefully TSM or something similar is made available so we can speed up the AH stuff, but even with auctionator or something similar you can still make gold.

I have some old techniques I know I will dive into and plenty of stuff to look into.

What do you want to see?

Anything in particular you want me to do or see more of? Do let me know!

I’ve had a lot of fun with challenges in the past, so if you want to see me focus on something specific I am happy to try something new.

  1. Anything you want to do, I would love to read about it! You are by far the best source of goldmaking to me and I really enjoy following you. I love how you offer many different ways of getting an income in WoW and I try to pick and choose among them to experience which of them fit my sort of playstyle. I enjoy doing a bit of everything, crafting, flipping, shuffling and a few select grinds for rare epics in old content.
Keep doing what you’re doing, Magne and I’ll follow you there =)

  2. I made about 105k raw gold off clothes for the winter veil event by just reading this guide. Thank you so much.
