Maximize your Spirit of Harmony profits! Mists Classic Gold Guide

Today we will look at the value of Spirits of Harmony, and what you should do with them!

Spirit of Harmony vendor

Your factions shrine in the Vale of eternal Blossoms has a vendor that you can trade Spirits of Harmony for other materials. This will usually represent the baseline of what you can get for a spirit. We can use this to set the value of Spirits of Harmony and compare that to any crafting you can do with spirits to figure out if you have access to a better craft or not. Below is the string you can set as your Spirit of Harmony material value under /tsm crafting → reports → materials. This will then value your Spirits of Harmony at the value of trader materials, so if any recipes now show a profit in the TSM window, it means they are better than selling the spirits.

Price source: max(20*dbmarket(i:72092),20*dbmarket(i:72093),5*dbmarket(i:72094),5*dbmarket(i:72103),20*dbmarket(i:72120),2*dbmarket(i:72238),20*dbmarket(i:72988),dbmarket(i:74247),20*dbmarket(i:74249),5*dbmarket(i:74250),20*dbmarket(i:79101))

Cooldown materials?

One option you have is to use spirits of harmony for daily cooldowns. For the living steel transmute just changing the materials value is enough. For tailoring you would need to check the crafting cost of the song of silk recipe and see how that compares to the cooldown material. Changing the value of Imperial silk is a little bit more work as the cooldown version will always be cheaper.

Crafted gear

Based on my analysis the best option is almost always to craft recipes that require spirits of harmony as one of the materials. These recipes have very limited competition as only other people with a strong Spirit of Harmony economy can craft them. Blacksmithing has the highest profit items I have seen, with the weapons being particularly enticing, currently selling for several thousand gold profit per spirit of harmony.

Leg enchants are great

The leatherworking leg armor enchant is another great option, with the Shadowleather enchant giving you a profit per spirit of about 500 gold. This is significantly better than any non-weapon craft. It is actually so good that if you are a leatherworker then farming spirits is likely one of the higher value things you can do.
