Blizzard just created the biggest gold rush in SoD so far!

Blizzard just made some significant changes to Waylaid supplies which has a massive effect on profit.

Rep rewards

With the latest changes Blizzard finally added rep rewards at revered available for everyone from Waylaid supplies. Initially the only ones who got anything was alchemists, but now everyone can get a BoA rare item they can use on their alts as well as a 16 slot backpack. This is important, but the next change they did is bigger!

Gold rewards

With the change they also added significant gold rewards for turning in filled supply boxes. The rewards scale all the way up to 12 gold for a turn-in. This is probably a bigger deal than the rep rewards, but the end result is still the same.

Price explosion

Prices on both materials and finished items for turn-ins has absolutely exploded. The same is true for the sale rate, which is massive across all levels. With a reason to level the reputation players are going wild doing it. This means some recipes are now unprofitable at current material prices, but a lot of recipes, particularly for the 12g turn-ins are actually profitable even at massively inflated prices.

Calculate carefully

Due to material prices exploding you need to be more careful about calculating your costs. TSM costs are completely wrong at the moment, so either change the material costs under reports → materials or use a spreadsheet or calculator to calculate the cost. Most items will sell really quicly, so you can usually expect to sell at whatever the current AH price is, but there is a good bit of AH PvP going on as well.

Strike while the iron is hot!

The next couple of days will be huge for demand. It takes a while for players to farm the boxes, but we should expect players to keep turning them in at a very high rate, so take advantage while you can.
