Today we will take a quick look at the best concentration builds currently.
Basics
Concentration is limited by how fast it regens. To maximize the value of your concentration you want to focus on crafting items with the largest possible price difference between quality 2 and quality 3 and where there is a significant difference in material prices between quality 2 and quality 3. In general a more expensive item will generally be better as you want to maximize the value of your concentration. This is kind of hard to compute easily by hand, but luckily addons come to our aid.
CraftSim Concentration Value
CraftSim is a fantastic addon with a lot of different functions for crafting and profits. Two things are relevant here, it will calculate the concentration value for all crafts in the profit window. Then if you utilize the recipe scan function it will go through all your recipes and add them to the list. You can then sort by concentration value to focus on the highest value crafts, which will usually be the more expensive items.
Jewelcrafting
For jewelcrafting it will depend a bit on your knowledge build. All the rare gems and the epic gems can work, but there are a lot of nodes that decrease concentration costs for specific colors. This will reduce the concentration cost, and thus increase your concentration value for a given craft. Prices also typically vary quite a bit on a day to day and week to week basis, so check every time. Materials are generally not high enough value to be worth spending concentration on.
Enchanting
Enchanting is a great concentration option with a ton of relatively expensive enchants. The larger the impact the better the sale rate is for quality 3. There are also some harder to get recipes including ones that can be traded on the auction house that will have less competition and usually better prices. Once again your skill and buill will have impacts here on what recipes are best. In general weapon enchants and ring enchants have been the best sellers for me.
Alchemy
For alchemy the main item type we care about are going to be flasks. Potions are generally to cheap, and also a lot easier knowledge wise to reach the threshold for guaranteed quality 3. Flask of Alchemical chaos is usually the best recipe, as it is the most expensive, generally the strongest and by far the hardest to reach guaranteed quality 3 in terms of knowledge points.
The others
The other profession generally have much lower value concentration crafts sadly. There are some opportunities with every profession, but they are less worthwhile. If you want to start a new concentration crafter right now I would suggest enchanting as it has the fastest catchup and is very easy to setup. Pair it with alchemy for the highest sale rate possible.
