I’ve recently added a new flipping market to my level 5 flipping challenge consumable flipping!
World drop consumables
Classic WoW has some very powerful consumables that are world drops. These are used mostly for raiding and will generally show price variations over time, just like materials. This makes them prime candidates for flipping. There are also some consumables you can get for turning in specific farmable items. These are somewhere between materials and consumables and I have split them up. You can also flip alchemy consumables using the same logic if you don’t have alchemy available.
Blasted lands
In Blasted Lands you can get various stat buff items for turning in items that drop from the mobs there. The strength and Agility buffs as usual are very popular, but all of the materials will sell. You can use a variety of smaller stack sizes to target exactly what someone needs for their turn in.
Consumables
The two main world drop consumables to flip are Dark Runes and Winterfall Firewater. The Dark Rune is essentially life tap in item form and it drops from Scholomance Trash. Winterfall Firewater drops from Winterfall furbolgs and is a 20 minute attack power buff. It is used by warriors, rogues and hunters and is very strong.
E’ko
In Winterspring you can get a cache of Mau’ari from Witch doctor Mau’ari which makes mobs there drop e’ko items. You can turn these in in stacks of 3 and get various buff items. The best ones are the frostmaul E’ko for the strength buff, Shardtooth e’ko for a fire resistance buff and Winterfall E’ko for an attack power buff. The others can also be flipped. Here we want to sell the items in stacks of 3 or multiples of 3 to make them more convenient for players looking to turn them in.
Results
I’ve had great success so far, with 29 gold in profit, and I have a huge chunk of dark runes and some E’ko lying around.
