With the release of the season enchanting is printing gold in Midnight, so let’s take a look at how you maximize your profits!
The recipes
With enchanting the main type of recipe you can craft is obviously enchants for a variety of slots. In addition to the enchants you can craft weapon oils, profession tools for enchanters and some wands. You can also craft some cosmetic items in the Gleeful Glamours and illusory adornments. For goldmaking the enchants is by far the best build, at least for concentration crafting.
Getting your knowledge
One nice thing about enchanting is that it is very easy to get your knowledge points. Enchanting has an absolute ton of easy first craft bonuses from Gleeful Glamours. The recipes for these are learned from Jennara Sunglow at the top of the Thalassian University in Silvermoon.

On top of that the catch up mechanic for knowledge points is earned by disenchanting. You simply need to do all your normal weekly knowledge sources, including looting the items from treasures. After that you can get all your catch up knowledge as random drops from disenchanting. This means you can very quickly and quite cheaply earn all your knowledge. Evercore gear or tailoring gear is the best bet for cheap items on the AH or to craft yourself.
The enchanting build
For enchanting multicraft is useless, so you want to focus on the other two. Both ingenuity and resourcefulness is very good, with concentration values getting quite high, and a good chunk of more expensive materials. Ingenuity value per craft depends on how much concentration you use and the concentration value. Essentially you have a chance of getting half of your concentration profit, so it depends on the balance of material prices to max quality craft. In most cases right now I think you’d prefer resourcefulness as the crafts are quite expensive, but both are fine.
You want to max out spellbound shatterer and the resourcefulness and ingenuity nodes first. After that you want to put points into Elevating Equipment with the base node first and then the middle nodes to unlock recipes. You can also go all in on one specific craft if you want to go for max rank guaranteed crafting, but that also means you have to farm fused abundance to get an epic profession tool next week.
The weapon oil build
For the weapon oil build you want multicraft as well, which means you max out the multicraft and resourculness nodes of the Spellbound Shatterer tree. After that you to Transitories, Tonica and tools, put 5 points in the base node and then you max out Excellent Expendable for more stat buffs for oils. Lastly you max the base node in Transitories, Tonics and Tools for rank 3 crafting. Generally I don’t think this is great for concentration crafting as maxing your skill requires much less knowledge. You can reach max profession tree bonuses with 150 knowledge, which is quite attainable right now.
Get renown recipes
For concentration crafting you can make A LOT of extra gold if you have recipes that are not vendor trained. The weapon enchants from the trainers have about 7 gold per concentration for my main enchanter, whereas renown enchants are all the way up at 16 gold. As long as you have some voidlight marl on your main these are VERY easy to get, so this is a must. You can also look at unlearned recipes and see their concentration values, to help decide which to get. There are also some recipe you can buy on the AH that are quite good, so consider those if you have gold and don’t have marl.
