Lately concentration values have been plummeting as Midnight settles into steady state. One profession has kept concentration values much higher than every other profession: Alchemy.
Potions galore
Potions and flasks are still used by players and are in regular demand. Most other crafted items have demands that fall off faster as players finish their mains and don’t need more crafted items or gems or enchants. Potions and flasks get consumed every week, which means demand stays high, and that is why concentration values are so high.
Potions beats flask
In general potions are better, in fact they are so much better that even for my alchemists with every multicraft and resourcefulness bonus for flasks the potions are usually the better craft. If you have specialized in a potion type the balance tips even further over, and for the best recipes I am still seeing 10g+ concentration values.
The top recipes
There are two potential builds and two top recipes to focus on. For light potions the best recipe is Light’s Potential, which you can learn from the cauldron next to the alchemy crafting station. This is one of the two best potions in the game. The other is Potion of Recklessness which you get from Singularity renown. It will cost you 150 moxie and 1500 voidlight marl. Generally the Potion of Recklessness is the best recipe as it is harder to get, so if you can get it then do.
Light or void
Recklessness is a void potion, so if you have it or are planning to get it on an alt then you want to spec into the void potion side of the potion tree. In my opinion you are better of maxxing both end nodes in Potion Prowess for max multicraft and ingenuity bonuses before you go to Alchemical mastery to pick up the resourcefulness in the Reuse node.
Then you execute
Once you have the setup you simply log in every 48 hours and expend your concentration on crafting potions. You can potentially min max your prices a bit by selling before typical raid times, but you don’t have to to get good profits in this market.
