The final Phase of MoP has some amazing goldmaking opportunities!

The final phase of Mists classics has finally been announced. And if you are still playing this phase has some very exciting goldmaking opportunities.

(Almost) Every profession is getting new recipes

ALchemy and jewelcrafting are the only professions that are not getting new recipes in the Siege of Orgrimmar patch. For every other profession there are new crafts with varying levels of excitement, and many of them have good profit potential.

New cooldown based epics.

All of the armor crafting professions are getting a new daily cooldown bind on pickup material alongside some new recipes. We are getting a new level of PvP crafts, but the more interesting crafts are the new PvE Epics that use the daily cooldown materials. Unlocking the recipes is a random chance from doing your daily cooldown, so you can get unlucky and not get the PvE epics, but once you do it will be a very easy way to monetize your professions by just doing the daily cooldowns and then crafting an epic once you have either 21 for the belts or 28 for the leggings you can craft.

Better foods

Cooking is getting new recipes, which includes a +300 primary stat feast. To get the recipe you need to do a questline that begins on the Timeless Isle. The questline is quite involved, but the +300 main stat feasts are very useful as they outpace all the feasts currently in MoP classic. Obviosuly players can use the single person foods in stead, which will limit the maximum price, but there is still potential.

Jard’s and the sky golem

The Siege of Orgrimmar added a truly iconic goldmaking recipe in the form of the Sky golem mount for engineering. Engineers get a new daily cooldown for Jard’s Peculiar Energy source, which is a Bind on Pickup material. 30 of these can be turned into the Sky Golem, a flying mount with the unique effect that it allows you to farm herbs while mounted. Back in the day this mount was incredibly sought after and the value of multiple engineers for the daily cooldown was very high. The recipe also takes 30 Living Steel, so starting to stockpile some of these can be very valuable. With the long term future of Mists classic servers up in the air it’s uncertain if these will be as good this time around as they were back in the day, but I do expect them to be valuable for the players still playing mists.
