Gold Cap Challenge: Update 56

What did I do?

8.1 finally launched this week. The main thing I focused on was of course to get the new sinister combatant recipes as high as possible. I only had about 16 marks of honor, but I’ll be taking advantage of the brawl to get a couple more rank 3s. I only have blacksmithing at 120, so there’s not that many recipes.

My liquid gold increased by a very nice amount, with an increase of 700k this week. The main reason for this is that I spent very little gold, only spending about 100k. My sales were 800k, which is better than last week, while my AH quantity was reduced by about 1 million gold.

We can see that most of my gold came in when i collected a single mailbox on Thursday, when I had a 300k gold  BoE that sold alongside my first batch of sinister combatant gear.

Week 56 dashboard graph
As we can see I didn’t spend much gold this week.

TSM sales

Week 56 sales
A couple of BoEs and some sinister combatant gear

The screenshot above is actually missing the biggest sale this week for some reason, as I sold a pair of Splatterguards for 300k. It’s also missing some sinister combatant sales, as I have sold more than 3 of those. Overall though I’ve sold an OK number of BoEs, while

We can see that I sold a decent number of enchants as well as another Legion armor piece. The Legion former item level 850 gear is actually selling quite well for crafted transmog, and I would suggest keeping one of each in stock if you have the Blood of Sargeras required.

Material flipping has once again been extremely slow as I haven’t been selling much. I wanted to wait for 8.1 and any shakeups in price to settle before going back in. I did make some investments in Hardened Tempest Hides, Tempest Hides, Deep Sea Satin and Platinum Ore that all look like they’re paying off. I only have about 2k each of Deep Sea Satin and Hardened hides though, so nothing crazy, but it’ll be somewhere between 6-10 gold profit per on average.

Week 56 Resales
Almost no materials sold this week as I kept away.

Inventory

Week 56 inventory
My inventory is still dominated by BoEs.

My inventory is still primarily composed of BoEs. I still have a ton of Tidespray Linen and Platinum Ore. My Tiragarde Perch stockpile is still massive as the guy I bought them from just keeps posting them. His pockets seem bottomless. so the price is plummeting.

Panthers are still in stock, which is nice. I won’t have to worry about restocking them for a while.
