Inscription has a LOT of good Concentration recipes! Inscription gold guide!

Inscription is another key profession in The War Within and there are multiple possible builds, and some tricks to be aware of.

Candidate crafts

For Inscription you have multiple options for the target item you want to use inspiration on, and most of the builds you would go ar every similar. This means you can focus on the base node and be able to quickly pivot based on what is the best use for that day. The recipes that have been best for me are contracts, Darkmoon Sigils and Vantus runes. All of these are in the Archival Additions tree, which you should focus your knowledge in. I suggest going all in on the base node and then the two middle nodes unless you want to go into max quality mode, but that’s not what this guide is about.

Knowledge gains trick

One thing to note is that you should get the Pursuit of Knowledge as your first knowledge tree. You’re not going to put any points in here, you just want the initial bonus for unlocking the tree, which allows you to craft treatises. You should be able to learn all the treatises and get the first craft bonuses easily with public orders if you have some patience. You can also craft for your alts.

CraftSim

To pick the right recipe and find the cheapest combination of crafts we will use the recipe scan function in CraftSim. This addon is fantastic for the War Within professions. You need to open the recipe scan window with the checkbox and then check the concentration box. Then you can sort your recipes by concentration value to use your concentration on the most valuable craft.

Contracts or vantus or sigils

Contracts are great as the recipe costs 150 acuity. This means less competition. That being said they also have less long term value, as at some point they will plummet. Darkmoon Sigils and Vantus runes will likely sustain a little better, but all 3 recipes work really well at the moment, at least for me! For Sigils the Ascension Sigil has BY FAR the highest sale rate and is my suggestion. The others are slightly more expensive, but also sell a lot slower. You can get all of them by going into the sigil sub node, or you can go for vantus and contracts with cheaper materials. The difference in price between q1 and q2 materials is very small however, so skill past a certain point does not have a huge impact on concentration profits.

Multicraft is king

For stats multicraft is absolutely king. Get it on your profession tool. Ingenuity is likely the best enchant as long as concentration value is high. Once you have 50-60 points in the Archival additions tree I would shift over to Pursuit of Knowledge for multicraft bonuses to increase your profits. This will give you all 3 stats and increase the effectiveness of multicraft, which is very valuable.
