The best concentration army build for 12.1

Today I thought I would talk about what I think the best concentration setup is, and what it will be for the rest of Midnight!

The obvious one

Alchemy is by a very significant margin the best concentration crafting profession at the moment and I expect that to remain. It is the clear number one. There are two options for builds, you either focus on the Potion of Recklessness, which is usually the best recipe, or Light’s potential, if you do not want to farm voidlight marl to buy the recipe for potion of recklessness. The builds are very similar, with a priority on unlocking the recipe specific multicraft node first.

The builds

The main focus is on maxing multicraft, with a secondary focus on resourcefulness. If you can get an epic tool before 12.1, that is highly advised, in particular with the faster farming of Dunduns in patch 12.0.7 that is a lot more viable.

The second choice

There are actually two options for the second profession that both have some merit. The two both craft gear improvements, which will have higher demand when players get back into gearing for the next season. Enchanting and jewelcrafting both have similar concentration values, varying between 1 and 2 gold at the moment. I believe the values will go up significantly for the launch of 12.1, but it will be short lived. Enchanting requires unlocking recipes from various sources to get the best profits, whereas for jewelcrafting you want a lot of knowledge to get the gem recipes.

The enchanting build

Resourcefulness and ingenuity are the main stats as we are focusing on enchants. After that profession skill in the main tree is useful, and you also unlock some recipes here to help spread out. you can also pick up some recipes quite cheaply on the AH, which can be good so you don’t compete into the lowest effort mass alt market with the trainer learned recipes. Remember to always shatter an essence for the resourcefulness buff from the shatter tree. Put resourcefulness and a resourcefulness enchant on your tool to save as many materials as possible.

The jewelcrafting build

For jewelcrafting you want to max multicraft and resourcefulness. After that you want to prioritize unlocking gem cut recipes by maxing the gem tree starting at the bottom. Make sure you grab a multicraft tool with a multicraft enchant to maximize your profit.

My choice

Personally I’m leaning towards jewelcrafting as my preferred option as you can unlock recipes just from doing profession knowledge, which you will want to do anyway. If you can get some harder to get recipes then enchanting can be better.
