As of right now Blizzard has not added an API to the anniversary realms. So today I’ll show you how to get Tradeskillmaster up and running with an alternative price source.
Options!
You have multiple options for getting a price source in stead of TSM prices. In this video I’ll be using Auctionator, but you can also use auctioneer and Auction House Data Base I prefer auctionator for doing any one off sales, which is why I’ll use that.
Find the market price string
This article will show you the external price sources you can use. Since I’m using Auctionator I will use the Auctionator string which is AtrValue. This is what we will be using across operations and in default prices.
Scan the AH
You have to use the pricing addon you want to utilize to scan the Auction House. This will populate the price database. I suggest doing this at least once a day, but do it whenever you are at the AH. It varies by addon how you do it, but generally there is a button in that addons version of the AH UI. For auctionator it is the button circled in the screenshot below.
Change default prices
The most important price to change is the default material cost method. This uses dbmarket by default, but that is TSMs internal price value. Since that does not exist we will be swapping it out for AtrValue. This is enough to fix Crafting which means that now you can use a basic crafting based price setup to sell crafted goods.
Default operation
If you want to use the default operation to post random stuff on the AH, or want to make an operation that posts any valuables you add to a group you will then just use ATRValue in the price strings in stead of dbmarked. An example operation is shown below for selling cloth in stacks of 20. Prices are likely to be in flux for a while, so relying on this too much can be unwise, but it should be OK.
