Anniversary realms are coming to TBC and with it some of us will get a new start. Let’s see how we can maximize our profits.
Early weeks matter
The early weeks of a new expansion is always the time with the most economic activity. This is by far the most profitable period of the expansion as players are spending a LOT of their gold to gear their characters and get going. Gear, enchants and consumables all reach their peaks at different times during this period and getting your crafting setup ready in time is crucia.
Gathering is always a staple
If you enjoy farming then farming is always great. There are two main choices you can go for in TBC, either you can farm with gathering professions, where Adamantium and high level herbs would be the main focus. The alternative is farming elemental mobs for the motes that turn into primals as these are highly sought after for crafting. Primal fire and primal air were among the best farms in TBC classic and depending on how they solve layers and spawns they can be a massive goldmaker for the right farming strategy early on.
Crafting Professions for Profit
It’s no secret that I love using crafting professions to make gold and TBC is no exception. Generally you want to get into gear crafting as soon as possible when players are gearing and then you add consumables and enchants as the raid approaches. Jewelcrafting gets added as a new profession and it is generally VERY profitable. In particular you want to stock up for when the raid opens and players start splurging on top level gems. Buying the best recipes early on was extremely profitable in TBC classic and you definitely want to be ready to go hard.
Tailoring cooldown cloth is another big goldmaker and having multiple tailoring alts able to craft the three new cooldown materials can be VERY profitable early on as all the casters want tailoring gear for their gear sets. In addition the Bracers of Havok world drop recipe is an absolute must as they are incredibly good and sell very fast.
Playing the Auction House
Material flipping is extremely good in TBC classic. You can flip both TBC materials and classic materials. You even have the opportunity now to invest in some classic materials as they will keep demand for a long time. Vision dust is a particularly good one and something that is a real bottleneck for enchanting.
