TBC classic is coming and with it a lot of things to spend gold on. If you want to be ready for the opportunities that come around then you should have a war chest ready to go, as well as have done some prep work.
Level characters
Step number one is to level some characters so you can have access to multiple professions. Having every profession at max skill is a significant advantage for goldmaking as it gets you access to a lot more recipes to take advantage of. If you have the time getting enough alts so you can max every crafting profession once TBC rolls around is a very large advantage.
Max your professions
Alongside this is obviously leveling professions on the characters you level. You can level to skill 300 as early as level 35, and prices are likely relatively low for materials right now. Closer to TBC launch or after the launch when no one farms classic zones any more. Even if you don’t have time to level your characters to max before the pre-patch it can be well worth to level professions as far as you can take it.
Building a war chest
TBC is an expansion which requires quite a bit of liquid gol. Getting epic flying will cost you 6 000 gold, and if you plan to go into jewelcrafting you will need to buy a lot of recipes on the AH which will likely be priced up to 1000 gold per recipe. This is on top of the cost of buying materials to power level professions early on. This puts a heavy premium on making gold right now if you can.
Boosting
If you are a mage main then boosting is very relevant right now. Loads of players are preparing for TBC by leveling now and the anti-boost tech is not in yet. This will net you a good chunk of raw gold alongside the payments you get.
Farming
Farming is always reliable. I would suggest focusing on material farms that are relevant for leveling professions. The best options are materials that are bottle necks to leveling professions as they will experience some very high demand pressures as we approach the pre-patch.
Crafting
Crafting is almost always my favorite way of making gold and now is no exception. Consumables to level up, leveling gear and even cheap max level gear to get players a boost once they roll into TBC. The better your gear is while leveling the faster it is. A good example is the tailoring Dreamweave gear which was a general staple for me during all of classic.
Flipping
Material flipping is a really good option starting right now. Materials will keep value long into TBC and having a good stockpile continuously is very good. You can grab my old settings and even check out my old videos and guides to getting started. If you do it continuously you should expect very good profits and you can also expect that having a decent average stockpile is very profitable as we approach the pre-patch and demand surges players do their final prep.
