30 Days to a token: Week 2 Update

I’m halfway to the end in terms of days now! I still got a ways to go, but my inventory value is coming along.

The Rules

  • 1 character, which is a completely fresh level 120
  • No brutosaur
  • 1 realm obviously
  • I start with 10 711 gold (This is what I got leveling from 110-120 while vendoring every single drop.)
  • I start with level 1 professions
  • I start with the materials I got from leveling 110-120

Statistics

  • Played time: 18 Hours 25 Minutes
  • Liquid Gold: 253 Gold
  • Ah Value: 60 835 Gold
  • Total gold Acquired: 87 365 gold
  • Gold from auctions: 62 670 gold

What did I do?

This week I have focused heavily on crafting. I have leveled enchanting alongside Tailoring and my enchanting skill is now at 123. Quick navigation is profitable at rank 1, and the ring enchants have also had profitable numbers so things are looking up.

I have also been doing the emissary caches as regularly as possible. Due to all my crafting I have not spent much gold on material flipping, which has meant a decease in my AH value. I have also cut the normal prices on my sinister gear to get better sales.

Outside of the AH I spent the majority of my time doing world quests for emissary caches, in particular the 2000 gold ones as well as to gear my character. I will probably add some cataclysm raids to my activity list to generate some extra gold as I do very much need some more capital.

Sales

Here are the items I’ve sold sorted by per item price. We are missing some materials, but we can see them in the resale summary later.

As you can see I have sold 4 pieces of Sinister combatant gear and a nice number of weapon enchants at a variety of prices. The vast majority of the enchants are of course Quick navigations. On the other side of things I have done very little in terms of material flipping, which is something I really need to do more of. Now that I don’t really have any need for leveling professions any more I can hopefully get some more flipping going.

As we can see from the resale summary I have not been doing too much in terms of material flipping and what I have done has had very limited profits. I do have some successes that do not show up with the 7 day filter though including flipping 600 Crimson ink from 2 to 17 gold each, so that’s nice at least.

Inventory

My inventory value has increased by about 30 thousand gold, the majority of it coming in the form of enchants. I have crafted a ton of stuff to level my enchanting skill. I will have to add some rules to sell the coastal surges at a loss, but the quick navigations are selling VERY consistently.

I still need to increase my throughput quite a bit though to make it in time.

  1. So why not try and pad gold numbers early with ‘transmog’ runs? or would that kind of defeat the purpose?

    1. I need to sell the transmog as well, which would put the price in the very low side. Also I don’t really like farming. If I wanted to do farming I would just get herbalism/mining and go to town.

  2. Are vendor raw mats selling still? It’s not a primary market but a cheap way to pad numbers when you are running thin like this.

    1. Yes, they still sell. I havent bothered with them as I mostly havent had ANY spare gold
