What did I do?

I finally managed to hit revered on most of the reputations on my warrior this week. This means I know have full level 3 enchanting recipes, and I have noticed a very large uptick in sales as a result. My prices are now much more competitive.

I also sold a ton of darkmoon decks which I have been crafting again.

I’ve almost completely sold out of potions and I am now experimenting with flipping both flasks and potions. So far it is looking quite successful and I’ll have a post on this market out quite soon.

My AH value has decreased, but this is mostly because I’ve sold out all my potions.

I managed a massive number of sales this week totaling just under 3 million gold! I ended the week with an increase in liquid gold of 1 million, which is massive!

Now I’m fulltime onto my mage to get rank 3 darkmoon decks, although they are profitable at rank 2.

TSM sales

That’s a lot of darkmoon decks! This week was amazing with a tone of deck sales, two BoEs (only one of which was profitable and a lot of enchant sales.

I also sold some honorable combatant gear and some gems, but the main volume was in materials, Darkmoon Decks and BoEs.

I’ve continued my material flipping operation with full steam, and it is paying off massively. I’ve also recently dipped my toes into intra-week battle potion and flask flipping, with some very nice initial successes.

The resale summary below sums up the majority of my flips. As you can easily see the sale volume is absolutely massive in most of these markets Stringy Loins and Sand Shifters stand out heavily when it comes to the total sales volume.

Inventory

I’ve sold off the rest of my battle potions!

My inventory is much more balanced now. I have a decent amount of gold invested into flasks, as well as a lot of cards from my darkmoon deck production line. It looks like the inventory view is slightly bugged for the BoEs however. My Antiseptic Specimen Handlers are ilvl 375 and is currently posted at 273k.

I will restock enchanting shortly, which should bring enchants back into the top here. We can also see that some of my material stockpiles make an appearance on the list here.

  1. How u manage to sale your flips ? i use your string, but max(100% dbmarket,110%avgbuy) always give to high sell prices, because the dbmarket value is still to high. ( ofc because of start of expansion and mat prices are dropping ). I thought about to drop it to 90% dbmarket but i think its to close margin because of ah cut.

    1. I’m selling at my minimum price, and getting decent sales. If you find that it’s too high I would reduce the max shopping price to 60 or 70% and post it at 80-90%.

        1. Crafting can be invalid for two reasons:
Either one of the materials is missing a valid price source (e.g. Expulsom)
Or TsM has not successfully scanned the recipe from your crafting window. Crafting will only be valid if you can craft the item and TSM has scanned your profession, which it does everytime it opens a profession window

          1. Did u answer to someone else, cuz i didnt asked anything about crafting. or im missing some point ?

  2. This looks fascinating!

I’m currently trying to earn enough gold to pay for my subscription and the expansion. As I don’t have BFA, I can’t do half of the things you’re doing, but my goal is only about 500k so /shrug.

Any advice or tips though would be massively appreciated.

    1. If you don’t have access to BfA my suggestion is definitely to stick to flipping. You can still buy and sell BfA items, so look into materials in particular.

      1. Makes sense. I’ll look into that, but right now I’m focused on getting my farm and garrisons set up across multiple characters.

I’m also interested in Old Mat markets, as I saw your frozen orb shuffle post and eternal fires are above 350g on my realm.

Mind if I post an update in your next post of this?

  3. Reading your gold challenges keeps reminding me how exciting it can be to mix it up and make your own fun! To that end, I decided to start my own Auction House Challenge to see if I am actually learning how to make gold like I think I am.

Naturally, since I have all your beautiful posts as reference, I have decided to make my challenge much more challenging. I have started a level one human on Illidan-US, no pet swapping or gold transferring, but also no leveling. All of my gold will be made on the AH.

Once I have enough gold to do anything interesting, I may post some updates here or on your next update!
