A lot has been said and written about alt armies and concentration, today we can take a look at how much gold you can expect to make with it.
Concentration gains
I didn’t the rate for concentration online, but based on the info in CraftSim it looks like you regenerate about 10 concentration per hour. You can then quite easily figure out how much value an alt will generate if you can find a value for concentration.
CraftSim already calculates it
CraftSim will calculate the value per concentration for the recipes you have. As of right now the value varies quite a bit, and will depend on your spec. For Alchemy on my main it can go as high as 27 gold per concentration, whereas for engineering my best option is 16 gold at the moment.
Value per alt
With 10 concentration per hour we can see that for my main the value per hour is a little over 400 gold in concentration. Obviously not great on it’s own, but it does stack up very well with multiple alts. We can also sadly expect that the value of concentration may go down over time. Now if we take a look over time however, that means each character will generate about 296 000 gold in profit from concentration over a full month assuming you can always keep it cooling down.
I have 10 alts
Currently I have 10 alts, but many of them are not up to speed yet. If I can get them all producing at the same level, that means my average daily profit from just concentration crafts should get to about 96 000 gold, for very little effort. For some characters I would be doing crafts with 300+ concentration requirements and likely only be able to craft every other day. Now these margins will not remain forever, but you will also slowly be accruing more knowledge as we go and getting closer to guaranteed max quality.
