Today we are looking at a niche that is finally looking profitable: Cooldown cloth!
Bring out your tailor
A lot of us were running cooldown cloth builds in Dragonflight as it was a quite nice lazy goldmaking strategy, and with the right build it works quite well! It does require a bit more knowledge than most other lazy builds, and it also scales a lot better with knowledge, so you do want to put in some more time on your tailors, but it’s quite worth it.
Current stats
On one my current tailors I have an average profit per craft of 150 gold for duskweave bolts, over a crafting cost of about 300. The raw numbers are not going to make you rich, but it is very consistent and can be done alongside using concentration for spellthread, as you get value from a lot of the same nodes.
Multicraft node is key
The main key to making this work is maxing the multicraft node in the Textile Threads tree. This is absolutely crucial to maximize the amount of cloth you get. Outside of that you want enough points in the dusk till dawn trees to unlock more charges and some of the cloth specific skill bonuses and multicraft bonuses. As you can see from my current build below, you do not need to be fully optimized to see a profit. Duskweave is the best option, as it is quite a bit more expensive than dawnweave, and the crafting cost is roughly the same.
Using the cloth?
You can sell the cloth straight up, or you can turn it into bags. You will get a lot of cloth per crafting session, so if bags are good on your realm I would strongly suggest refining at least some of the cloth. You can also use some for concentration crafts for spellthread which will help unload in a timely manner.
