What did I do?
I’v primarily focused my time on leveling. I hit level 36 and I have moved a bit out into the world. I enjoy the questing speed, and I hope to farm some ore.
I have also leveled tailoring and I am now stocking all of the linen shirts as they have been decent for me on other realms. I spent a good bit of gold on Linen Cloth to do this.
I decided to take mining as my second profession for the time being. This will allow me to gather ore while leveling and to let me get into smelting once I level it up. This is usually a great way to move some gold without too much capital involved as you can see in my post on the theme. I also have an inkling that I can make some real gold farming in Outland/Northrend when I get there as I know from my main account that the related ores are quite valuable. I might do some laps to build capital when I get there.
I have also rediscovered a super useful feature in TSM! Quick post from bags. This will go through all of your items that are not in groups and post them to the auction house using some default settings. This is a simple way to post stuff that might sell without setting up groups or doing anything particularily involved. The button is found on the auctioning pane of TSM, outlined in red below.
TSM sales
We can see that my week has been fairly slow in terms of auction. I have only been posting whatever drops for me as well as the crafted shirts. I am gonna dive into mining as fast as possible next week as I desperately need to get some real income producing operations of the ground.
Transmog items are notoriously slow and I definitely need some income based on trade goods which have much higher turn around times. Hopefully mining will let me get into this asap!
I will also be taking advantage of the Darkmoon Faire. It has some really good gold-making opportunities. Including the new Inky Black Potions, getting replica gear with tickets and flipping darkmoon daggermaws. I will be testing out both of the first two! For a look into Replica gear, you should check out Graham Randalls writeup.
Inventory
We can see that my current inventory is MUCH more valuable this week. Most of this is from random drops, although some of the shirts are definetly up there. We can see that my 60 gold spent on linen has been turned into shirts that have a market value somewhere around 2000 gold. Hopefully I can get some sales going.
So our inventory is growing, but sales are still quite slow as the majority of my value is in slow-moving transmog. Hopefully diving into mining will help me get some liquidity moving.

I will continue work on the format of my status posts going forward as I find a good level of detail versus effort. Please let me know if you feel like I missed something or want to have more or less details from the updates.
